This is a practical walkthrough of getting set up in Slyde — from your very first generated slideshow to letting the platform run a full week of content on autopilot. None of these steps require design or editing experience; the point of the tool is that you shouldn't need any.
Step 1: Connect a TikTok Account
Before generating anything, connect at least one TikTok account from your dashboard. This is what lets Slyde actually schedule and auto-post on your behalf — without it, you can still generate and download slideshows manually, but you'll lose the auto-posting and scheduling features that make automation worthwhile.
Step 2: Generate Your First Slideshow in Create
Head to Create and describe what you're posting about. You have two ways to start:
- Type it in — describe your product or niche and (optionally) your target audience directly - Scan website — paste your business's website URL and Slyde's AI reads the page and fills in the product description and target audience for you

From there, choose a slide count and aspect ratio, and generate. Slyde builds a full slideshow — slide text, matching images, and a caption — in one pass. About half the time it'll pull from one of 12 built-in viral hook-type formulas (countdown, myth-busting, before/after, and others); the rest of the time it generates freeform copy tailored to your product.
Step 3: Edit Before You Post (Optional)
Every generated slideshow opens in the editor, where you can:
- Edit any slide's text directly, or hit AI suggest for a rewritten version - Swap an individual slide's image via the Image or Browse tabs - Edit the caption - Delete text from a specific slide if you want an image-only beat in the sequence
Nothing is locked once it's generated — review changes appear live in the preview before you commit to posting.
Step 4: Post Now or Schedule
Once you're happy with a slideshow, you have three options from the editor toolbar:
- Download — export the slides if you want to post manually elsewhere - Schedule — queue it for a specific date and time on a connected account - Post now — publish immediately
For a single slideshow, this is the whole workflow — generate, review, post or schedule.
Step 5: Move to Batch Automations Once You're Comfortable
Once you've generated and reviewed a few individual slideshows, the next step is Automations — set a total slideshow count (say, 30), a posting frequency, and a product description once, and Slyde generates and schedules the entire batch in one pass instead of one slideshow at a time.
