This Privacy Policy explains how Slyde.run ("Slyde", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our platform at slyde.run (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly

• Account information: email address and password when you register
• Product descriptions: text you enter to describe your product or niche
• Uploaded images: custom images you upload for slide creation
• Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe (we never store card numbers)

b) Information from TikTok

When you connect a TikTok account, we receive via OAuth:

• TikTok account handle and open ID
• Follower count and basic profile information
• Access token and refresh token (used to post on your behalf)

c) Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, slideshow generation history
• Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamps
• Cookies: session cookies required for authentication; no advertising cookies

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Generate AI-powered slide content and captions using your product descriptions
• Post content to TikTok on your behalf when you schedule or automate posts
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (account, billing, security alerts)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. TikTok Data

Data received from TikTok (account handles, tokens, follower counts) is used solely to enable posting functionality. We store TikTok access tokens securely and only use them to publish content that you have explicitly scheduled or automated. We do not share TikTok data with any third party other than as required to operate the TikTok posting feature. You can revoke our access at any time through your TikTok account settings or by disconnecting the account in Slyde.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated slideshows and uploaded images are stored for 90 days after creation, after which they may be deleted. TikTok tokens are deleted when you disconnect your account. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, and access controls limiting who can access your data. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you of any data breach that materially affects your personal information as required by applicable law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

Slyde operates from Australia. Our infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel) may process data in the European Union or the United States. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the service provider's compliance with applicable data protection frameworks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the Service. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
